New Exo Terra PT2600 Desert Habitat Kit, Small Well made, but be careful of openings...By Careful CustomerJust bought this (at a store) this week & set it up for my small California kingsnake, who became a member of our family one night when he/she came to visit me one night while I was taking a bath (came in the open door of the kitchen and traveled over 50 yards across the kitchen, living room and bedroom to arrive in the bathroom). Anyway, the terrarium is well-made and quite attractive. Tonight, though, I was in the bathroom and looked up to see my little friend gliding past in an encore of his/her arrival last October. I checked the terrarium and everything seemed secure. On careful inspection, I saw a trail of red dust from the sand in the terrarium--demonstrating that my friend had managed to slip out by crawling atop the styrofoam "rock wall" backdrop and squeezing out of the openings placed along the back edge. The openings are for wires from any "hot rocks" or other electrical things one might want to place in the terrarium. I have no wires in mine, and I didn't notice that there are sliders that can be used to shut off these openings.
